All Mixed Up by Jin-Saotome All Mixed Up by Jin-Saotome
It's Mixmaster! At first look I really wasn't impressed by his mold but after getting him out of the package and transformed I have to admit he's pretty cool. However the getting-to-transformed was perhaps the most complex twist and turns I've ever done. It was a good 10 minutes of trying to figure out what folded, what spun around where, and how it pegged in. Mixmaster was later given the treatment, a full paint job of varying washes, highlights, metallics, grease/oil splatter, the works. I worked off the concept art colors and took some liberties here and there (as well as transformation) as I couldn't find many good shots of him in the movie. Here's hoping I did mixy proud!

Hey!! He was a boss character in the video game
of Transformers 3, when you play as Ironhide in chapter 2!:D

And Mixmaster looked "EXACTLY" like this in-game!

thats amazing. i really wish you would have had him in the "turret" mode. and if you could manage to have the appearence of dried cement that would blow this out of the water. i hope you make a custom devastator (with the wrecking-BALLS)

I thought he looked really cool in the movie, though I couldn't tell which one he was. ^^; Definitely want this guy. :)

Nope, in fact I only take things off that get in the way and have ball joints. Like Mix's smokestacks and drum panels.

Love what you've done with Mixmaster here. The colours are dark and metallic, which looks great on him. I have to say though, the gun on his back and his pipes are my favourite effect on him.

you know i had my doubts about this fig but looking at the robot in different views i think i might actually pic him up. hasbro's picture on the box does absolutely no justice.

do you plan on repainting and of the "human alliance" tformers?

Awesome. My only minor gripe with Mix is his inward bent thumb. It just looks odd, so I took them off and flipped them around to give him some better looking clutches :P.

Just saw the movie now and...
This is intrusively and truly accurate!

I see that you got all the details mastered here. His Decepticon symbol was on his drum and all, and he used those shoulder plates as more of shield guard things than ever... we didn't even see all of his 3rd mode artillery... it was just *BOOM* guards up and blast that cannon forward... heh nice shots by all means of Mix's inclusion.

... (What was up with the beige in the first place anyways? huh!)...

nice custom! Haha, would've been really great if this model had the decepticon dog hood ornament like the movie. Any thoughts of creating a custom Devastator using Mixmaster, Scavenger, Long Haul, Hightower, Scrapper and Rampage?

Alot better than the original colours of both the figure and the concept art! I was looking at the concept art to give this a go myself, but it was really bland! Green and white cement drum and an all grey robot. :(
This is great, though! It brings a lot of unity to the design.

Yeah, I like that figure, but the first time transforming it an F bomb or two were droped.

Now all you have to do is sculpt a tiny bulldog with a decepticon head for his hood ornament. ;p
