Ironhide! With replaced hip and scarred eye. Lots of scuffing.

o.o This looks awesome. Which toy is it?
:iconjin-saotome:
Just your basic Movie Voyager Ironhide.

Is this one a toy that actually transforms, or is it just a model?

He actually transforms, all my TF customs do.

Sweet. The transformer toys based off of the movie are unusually well done. I'm tempted to buy one or two, even though I'm not one to buy toys for myself. I was really into these things in the 80's and I actually still have one. It's Triptacon, but I doubt you would know which one that is. Two of my friends are big transformers fans and not even they remember him.

You mean the motorized black n purple Trex that transforms into a city? Hehe.. Him, Omega Supreme, and Sky Lynx were all part of another toy line by 'Toy Box' before Hasbro got the rights to produce them as transformers. That's why they have a different look to them and motorized stuff.

Hey, well he's actually grey with a bit of green and white. On the inside (once transformed) he's mostly green, but there is a bit of purple. Heh it still has that little sticker on the side of its head that you have to rube with your thumb to make the decepticon insignia appear - though it doesn't come out as bright as it used to.

Triptacon was also in a few episodes of transformers that I watched on youtube (I think all the episodes are there).

I had no idea it was once a part of another toy line. Thanks for that interesting little tidbit.

BTW, since you seem to be a big transformers buff, maybe you could help me put a name to a transformer I used to have. It was fairly large and was predominately black or dark grey and could transform into a robot (duh), a futuristic jet or spaceship, a panther, and possibly a gun as well.

Holy crap! I never knew he could turn into a car or a tank! That doesn't surprise me though, I didn't find out that I could separate the legs until after I had the toy for about a year. I wasn't the instruction booklet reading type back then.
