Artist's Comments

Another in my Video Game All Stars lineup, Kratos here is the main character to the God of War games. My custom Kratos figure was made from a Sigma 6 'Dark Ninja Master' body, Recondo hands, and Long Range head. I dremelled down the shoulder straps and resculpted the shoulders and shins with fixit sculpt to give him bare muscles. The weapons to the NECA Kratos Ares' armor were repainted and I added real chains to the knives so they could be lashed to his forearms.

Basic painting techniques were used as this is suppose to be an 'animated' version of Kratos as if he were to appear in a cartoon. Must of taken 6 coats of white paint to get a solid shade! Took a while to paint the red body tattoo as well and get it cleaned up. Overall I'm happy with how he came out. Testors Model Master 'Fantasy Series' Acrylics to be precise, and some of their military line. Enamels won't dry on soft pvc plastics (especially rubber, yeech) and will stay tacky, melting the plastic over time.

On occasion, it's just sooooooooo hard to find a good female base body out there. One, because the majority of superhero/comic characters are male, and two, because the toy companies just can't seem to make decent ones! Here's some I've done in the past.
