My Marvel vs Capcom Magneto Custom with base. Made from a DC Superheroes Superman, old ML Magneto Helmet, and Apoxie sculpted details. All sorts of stuff went into his base there from a Sentinel foot to Matrix bases.
I was wondering... have you thought about making figures from casts of existing figures? I am wanting to start this process and found a good reservoir of ML figures to work from. This way, you wouldn't have to tear up old figures to make new ones. I am asking you this because I am a HUGE fan of you work and want to do this for my own collection or to maybe help and assist customizers such as yourself.
I also love your MvC stuff. Your Gambit is 100% badass.
lol it looks like his showing big metal poles up his bum ... lol sorry couldnt resist it made me laugth ...
btw your really good at this sculpting stuff but what sort of price difference is it between making the character and adapting old toys.. just u mentioned its cheaper to make deadpool then to buy him and it looks like fun
It's called customizing when you take an existing figure and turn it into something else. Normally you can't just make a figure from scratch because of the million-dollar plastic-injection and steel-die cutting machinery you'd need. Only the factories in China have that stuff. You could carve figures out of resin like they do the prototype 2-ups but the joint's won work or would break. So we're left with the durable plastic bodies of already made figures. Pick one that has the basic shape/look of the character you want to make and sculpt on to that, repaint it.
