Artist's Comments

Here's a custom set I did a while back. Basically they're all Leonardo TMNT figures because I was using his sword/sheathes for my Deadpool customs and ended up with a bunch of extra Turtle figures. I changed the eyes on one, altered the bandana tails, and used the snarling leo head to 'individualize' them all. Their weapons are all real, made from bamboo, cord, stainless steel, etc. I repainted the figures and gave them some airbrushing for a darker comic tone (that's why they all have red masks, just like in the original comics). The rooftop base was made from a large piece of styrofoam with foam rubber glued to the outside and painted up to look like brick/blacktop.

I like how the more recent comics and cartoons have found a good balance between grim and gritty violence and light humor.

Oh yeah! I saw those on TNI. I made these figs back when the movie figs came out, wonder if NECA saw em, wouldn't that of been cool!

Other than making the weapons/belts yes, lol! The accessories took longer than the figures.
