Do not collect $200. Please pay $1000 in fines should you as Americans decide not to purchase health care or cannot afford it. Please find yourself in jail along with your family should you not be able pay the fine associated.

Sound scary? Farfetched? If the bill isn't repealed be prepared for it to be a reality. The lower class and poor will find themselves on the end of a neverending string of fines and/or jail time. Our jails and prisons are already at maximum capacity so the question will be where to house all these 'dangerous new criminals' made up of men, women, and children. Perhaps...some sort of camps? I'm sure the democrats could flip a few pages through the history books and do a little research on previous 'camps' for detainees and undesirables in society.

Or maybe a private company will spring up at the government's request and help with the 'rounding up' of the unwilling/poor. What will happen to them? Oh, they'll lose everything they own, their families will be split up, children taken while they sit in jail, get released, can't pay fines, go back to jail, etc. Until perhaps they disappear into the system.

But hey, it's all in the nation's best interest right? Health care for everyone! Well, so long as you can afford it. If not you can always find a new calling as a little green wafer...

From what I gather people liked the story just as much if not MORE than the brush. I came up with that piece of creative writing on the fly, it's 100% original. At some point it'll be published in a book of short stories called MIRAGE, having to do with myth, tales, and folklore. I'll post a link when I find out more. Usually I don't use my Journal to sell anything, especially my customs. I'll use it to whine, make casual observations about life, or complain about Ebert. But this week is special. I'm auctioning off my Jin Saotome figure. The one with all the hand sculpting, new head, posable scarf tails, and MvC2 look to him. Over the years I've tinkered and upgraded Jin to the point where I was happy with him finally. That means he's ready to leave my collection.



Also up for grabs is the rarest FFVIII Guardian Force, the Ultimate Weapon! He's huge too. So snag em now! This is me pimping my wares, shhhh!

So, Disney bought Marvel and all that it entails (toys, movies, etc) I figure I'll chime in with my two cents since everyone else's journal today is on that topic and I need a new journal entry. First, you can read about it here: [link] Then you can make up your own mind whether this is a good thing or the end of the world for Marvel Comics as we know it.

Comic-wise I've been disappointed with almost all of the storylines and plots. If I see one more retcon Mephisto-makes-you-forget crap I'm gonna scream. Maybe Disney will help fix that and hire some decent writers. On the movie front Disney knows how to make and promote their work. If we could get some awesome Pixar/CGI superhero movies that rake in what Little Nemo does...I'll be happy with that. As well as the live action. The fact that Paramount still has X-men and Sony still has Spiderman infuriates me to no end. They've screwed up the last X-men 3, Wolive Origins, and Spiderman 3 movies something terrible. Those licenses I did wish to get handed over to Disney.

For toys, eh, who knows. Hasbro will have to go through Disney now. But Disney has the power to market their merchandise literally everywhere so this may be a boon and we'll see our favorite superheroes in more places. Only time will tell. My fears about all this are...well...the title of my Journal. I'm just worried that Disney will dumb down the characters or the themes of them. Can you see Deadpool or Blackheart existing in a Disney world? Yeah...so let's hope they don't go crazy and start changing it all around. I give this event two out of five /facepalms.
